Chatswood SDECC open from September
We are excited to announce the opening of our Chatswood Service from 4th September, 2017. SDECC’s Chatswood Service will be open Mondays and Tuesdays and continue to operate under the same model as our Manly Service, providing specialised counselling services for young people aged 14-25 years old with problematic substance use and any associated mental health problems. The Chatswood service will be a family inclusive service, offering support for parents affected by their son/daughter’s substance use. “I am very excited that our second site is opening as this means our specialised youth counselling service is accessible to more young people and their families in the region.” Said Susan Watson, CEO SDECC.
“ This has all been made possible, following funding provided by the Sydney North Primary Health Network”. She said.
SDECC’s Chatswood Service will be located at 30 Devonshire Street, Chatswood (same location as headspace Chatswood). To contact us at Chatswood or make a referral, please call SDECC on (02) 9977 0711.
Chatswood opening hours: Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesdays 10am-5:30pm.

Sydney Drug Education & Counselling Centre has been awarded a Commended in the Treatment and Support category for the 2017 National Alcohol and other Drug Excellence and Innovation Awards.
The Award recognises a program or service that has made a significant contribution to treatment and support efforts designed to assist those Australians who have been impacted by alcohol and other drug use. Nominations in this category had to be based on established scientific evidence, designed to address a current gap in knowledge and/or service delivery and had to go above and beyond business as usual.
